Acetate film - properties

Acetate film is made from cellulose, i.e. plant fibres, and is therefore classified as a biodegradable material. It is transparent, quite thick and rigid. This makes it possible to form the edges of cakes, desserts and a variety of dishes. It does not absorb liquids or odours, making it ideal for use in the kitchen.

In addition, it is completely chemically inert - it does not alter the composition of the substances with which it comes into contact. It is considered safe for use in contact with food. It is only unsuitable for use at high temperatures (e.g. in the oven).

Applications of acetate film - confectionery and beyond

Thanks to its properties, transparent acetate film is mainly used in professional kitchens and industrial food processing plants. It is most often helpful in the preparation of desserts and cakes, but also proves its worth in dry dishes. It can be produced in a variety of sizes to suit specific needs.
