OK Compost HOME certified bags – they can be composted in home composters because they decompose at lower temperatures – around 30 °C, and at least 90% of the material will decompose within 12 months.

The bags are made of potato and corn starch. They do not contain heavy metals or other harmful additives that could penetrate the soil.

When properly stored in the right conditions (dry and dark), the material will not “degrade”. The bag will start to decompose when it comes into contact with bacteria, water and high temperatures . The bacteria will start to “eat” and decompose the bag into biomass, water and CO2.
